Im kind of excited honestly to take care of my plants at home. My family is not exactly known for being very good gardeners and hopefully I didnt already kill it that would really suck. I may have already left them in a classroom at the end of the day today and accidently ripped the little tendril roots it was growing in the green stuff when I took it out. I really hope it will be ok and I really hope I dont fail this. I already have an F i dont need it to be worse ;_;. Gotta stay positive though. I have it all planned out in my head just gotta work out the logistics. Gonna plant my tomatos in my yard and my grandpaʻs yard and recod the results like number of leaves, with of stem, height. The controls will be the care of the plants. Im basicly just gonna leave both to the elements for the most part only caring for them just enough to keep them alive but besides that they are gonna be on their own. Its gonna be fun and fresh. I really need a good grade in this class honestly.

So I may have fibbed a bit about my meal because I dont actually know if it was organic completely but the were some organic componets. So my meal was Ulu, sea asparugs, ahi poke, and poi. The Ulu was grown at my dadʻs job and the ahi poke was wild caught, and it might not be possible to grow non-organic kalo because the chemicals would mess up the eco-system where it was grown. I had fun trying to find all sorts of organic food and as it turns out I eat a lot more organic raw foods then I realise but they are still processed to some extent but hey a win is a win.
So we went on our first field trip with Mālama Honua on Friday October 19.The farm we visited is called CTAHR Waimanalo Station. We went on a tour first. It was a really long tour and I dont remember a lot of the terms but there was a lot of different stuff. they were testing what kind of fertilizer works the best of ginger growing. They also have lots of different types of kalo, uala, flowers, sugar cane, etc. growing both wildly and comercially all over the 5 acre lot. We also did a bit of work after all of our walking. But it was quite fun since all of u did it together. I might have pulled something in my shoulder though, kinda sad for a 16 year old to say that. i would deffinatly go again after I bathe in masquito replant. It was really bad, the bugs where biting us though our clothes. Besides that, I had fun and look forward to all the things we are gonna do in school this quarter.During this first quarter I really enjoyed this class. We started our systems unit and we also started setting up and taking care of our Māla both indoors and out doors which I am eager to continue. Another thing that was very interesting was the few Ahupuaʻa papers i did read, I learned a lot about my classmates. I think its kinda funny that my class forgets once in a while that i'm not the same age as them.
